  1. I did a lot of that myself.

    Back then the rule was dress up to 17 in the regular season and up to 18 in the playoffs. And no, Giroux was a defenseman for them.

    Somehow, I missed that post. Spent more time tracking line combo’s and D pairings than “watching” the game. Didn’t AHL teams dressed 17 skaters back then? Remembered using 1-3 for the main lines, 4 & 5 (sometimes 6) when a player doubled with the spare forward(s) and A-C for defense with D-F, etc, for the odd D pairing.

    Didn’t Ray Giroux played C for the Tigers then?
