Camp, Day 5: Yikes

Give them this: The first shift was pretty good. Walsh-Sixsmith-May again, buzzing around, hitting, creating things.

The next, what, like, 74 or so? Not so good.

Capuano wasn’t that concerned, like the other night. “They (Hartford) scored some goals. The kids played hard. I felt bad. The guys didn’t get rewarded for their work ethic. The guys gave it everything they had.”

Used the next bit, about not shooting, in the notebook, but, yeah, three shots in the first isn’t going to get you going.

It’ll be more of the same — lineup-wise, though they hope not on the ice — the next couple of days as they test these guys in battle and see who might be able to help when the big boys come back from the Island and the IR.

The hope is that things begin to sort themselves out by Tuesday.

Among the first words out of Jack Capuano’s mouth upstairs pregame: “Can we go 12-minute intermissions?” And they did. Awesome.

Biz Nasty starts in the show… so Jonathan keeps his promise.

And here’s the ECHL camp rosters. When I get a minute, I’ll sift out former BSTs on there. (That may not be for a while. Long and boring story.)
