Camp, Day Last: OK, enough

We’ll get word on one part tomorrow, probably on another part Tuesday, and then maybe the last part Wednesday.

We’ll get a handle on the Islanders’ injury situation by then. We’ll see who they send down. We’ll see how that affects what the Sound Tigers do, which of those kids won jobs.

Capuano praised the youngsters’ work all week, working within the system. Now we’ll get to see what it looks like with the regular complement (or as close as injuries will allow).

“There’s a couple of things, obviously, we’re going to change. We just want everybody to be able to play what Scott has. Special teams, especially, there’s a couple of things we’re going to change. You can’t get it all in five or six days.”

Those who didn’t play today are supposed to skate tomorrow, and then there are three days of practice to get everything under control.

And then it begins.

Greg Logan has Josh Bailey making the Florida trip, and Brandon Sugden getting released.

Meanwhile, there’s Vancouver, which goes with boilerplate, down to “The following players have been assigned to the Manitoba Moose,” to announce the reassignment of Nolan Baumgartner alone. Very “We regret to announce the following layoffs” (8F09), isn’t it?

The Devils assigned, like, everybody to Lowell. For our purposes, Matthew Spiller and Jay Leach are most interesting.

And finally, made my Tim Hortons season debut on the way up. Then I think the dude gave me, like, a double-triple on the way back. Ahhhh.
