Once is a fluke, twice is a coincidence, six times is a pattern: CF101 VI

Final: BPT 3, WBS 2. The long morning nightmare is over. More in a bit.

15:33 third: Bridgeport survived a Penguins power play with a couple of scoring chances. Shots are 26-23 Bridgeport.

11:01 third: This has to be the most conservative they’ve been with a lead. Revel in the trap.

1:03 third: Didn’t take long. Minard crashes the net, finds a loose puck and puts it in. BPT 3, WBS 2.

Start third: Jonathan makes a good point over on his liveblog: “Cool Fun 101 games are neither cool nor fun. Discuss.” I will when I wake up. (Nope, still haven’t.)

End 2nd: Coupla solid periods, and now I guess we see if they can hold it.

17:31 second: A RECORD. BPT 3, WBS 1: And it’s the most goals Bridgeport has ever scored before 1 p.m. (Thanks, Stan.) Comeau coming off the left side, off the right post and in, nice shot.

17:12 second, cont: Yep, deaf. SPONGEBOOOOOOOB SQUAREPAAAAAAAANTS…
Uh-oh.

17:12 second: Uh-oh. OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH…

12:16 second: The teams traded hooking penalties. That’s about as exciting as it got, though Deryk Engelland appeared to block a Trevor Smith rebound try.

7:35 second: The fourth line is having a night day. Another big-time shift puts a few shots on Curry. But then the Pens’ top line drew a power play; Bridgeport dominated the first minute, and the Pens had a couple of late shots that made it interesting.

8:15 first intermission: Darn it, Storm, throw that T-shirt before I go deaf.

End 1st: Haley returned from the box and didn’t show any signs of discomfort. Meanwhile, Andrew MacDonald blocked a couple of open-net rebounds, so give him that. By the way, here’s the pointstreak.

14:03 1st, BPT 2, WBS 1: Well that happened in a hurry. WBS scored on a two-on-one as they went back and forth. But Bridgeport’s fourth line came back strong and drew a penalty, and then Joey Mormina broke Trevor Smith’s stick to take one of those automatic slashing penalties. The Sound Tigers scored on both ends. Micheal Haley just fought Aaron Boogaard — but went off looking at his right hand…

6:03 1st: Good PK starts it off for Bridgeport, and then Trevor Smith, out of the box, gets away with a bump on John Curry behind the net.The kids — and this might be the biggest CF101 crowd, maybe? — love the physical stuff.

(Top-down or bottom-up? Hmm.)
(Bottom-up.)
D’Aversa is the WBS scratch.
