Tuesday attempted liveblog

-Um… Grady just said the Confederation Bridge is closed to buses because of winds. Bridgeport is supposed to be flying out of Halifax tonight.

-Bell’s tally to start the shootout is the only one that goes in. Binghamton 4, Bridgeport 3 (SO).

-And so they go to the bonus round, one point apiece. Two power plays dominated this game, and now they’ll finish up with a skills contest. But I’ve said too much.

-Chris Lee sounded like he had a couple of chances with Brian Lee in the box, but no go there, either.

-Here we go again: Brian Lee to the box for holding and a one-minute Bridgeport power play.

-No go on the OT power play. Bridgeport’s 2-for-8; Bingo is 3-for-6.

-Oooooovertime, and the first time that rule about cutting the penalty in half comes into play: 45 seconds becomes 23, I think.

-It’s a power-play game: The Sound Tigers have escaped from the Fraser penalty and even drawn themselves a power play with an odd-man, short-handed rush with 1:15 to go.

-Walter in the box with 4:25 left. This power play is firing… Zack Smith got knocked over on a partial break, Grady said, but nothing from Koho. Except now there’s another penalty coming — and the Sens score on the delayed call, so it’s another two minutes coming up.

-Sounds like Mannino just settled things down nicely with about seven minutes to go.

-The Sens get one back on, get this, a power play. It’s 3-2 with 13:40 to go, and, what, it’s just about time for Ilya Zubov to take over the game…

-Mike Iggulden scores on the power play in the first minute of the third (the greatly named Moises Gutierrez was in the box), and the Sound Tigers have a two-goal lead.

-End of 2, 2-1 Bridgeport. We’ll be right back after this word from the Connecticut Post. Read the paper!

-Hennigar’s having a day, scoring here on a breakaway on a delayed penalty. Bridgeport leads 2-1, about five minutes left in the second.

-Welcome to the show, kid: Bailey’s in the penalty box. (In Summerside, they’ve traded fruitless power plays.)

-Across the Sound, the Isles are flying. Every time I look up, the closed-captioning tells me so; plus, they’re in the Flyers’ end while I read. Shots there are 9-2.

-Hey, Josh Bailey’s on the ice. He’s wearing his age, too, 12. (Wait…) All these kids look 12 to me now. Short shift to start.

-We start the second in shot-confusion. After one, they were 11-10. Now, they’re 10-9. And Grady says the board has 10-10 in-house. Of course, 1-1 is all that matters, yadda yadda yadda.

-The Sound Tigers get it back on a Bois roughing penalty… If that’s Hennigar, it’s his first professional goal. (It is. So it is.) And that’s it for the first.

-Hey: Get one right once in a while. Karlsson scores on the power play, and Bingo grabs the lead on the advantage.

-About midway first: The Sound Tigers have just gone through back-to-back power plays that didn’t work out, and are now about to go on the PK themselves. Could be trouble.

Here’s the leaguestat.

-R: Terry Koharski.

-Why not.

-Should we go bottom-up again?
