Stockton: Collberg injured

Stockton’s postgamer reports that Sebastian Collberg left Friday’s game late: “Collberg left the game after taking a slash to the wrist and a hit to the head and did not return. His status wasn’t known immediately after the game.” The Thunder’s livetweet, about the only other notice I could find in a quick look around Twitter and the papers, called it a “dangerous hit.”

Collberg had scored two goals, as we noted before the drive home, in a game Stockton wound up losing 8-5 after coming back from 5-3 down to tie it. (Involved in the ensuing altercation: Darryl Bootland.) Again, my cursory poking around didn’t come up with more details, and it’s even pretty late out there, so we’ll ask more tomorrow. Today.

Edit: Scroll down. (Sorry. It’s late.) From that release, Rich Kromm: “It could be a wrist injury from the slash he took, could be a head injury from the knee to the head he took, not quite sure. Either play was enough to do some serious damage. It’s unfortunate that this happens with kids trying to progress to the next level and we allow this to happen.”
