Similar looks / different spots: Thursday notes

Same general array today for Bridgeport. They’re going to practice in the Land of Chocolate tomorrow, and we’ve got a soccer game, so… more Saturday unless warranted. In the meantime, a reminder that Phil Giubileo is filling in on Utica’s broadcast in Springfield on Friday.

Arthur Staple doesn’t expect the Adam Pelech debut tonight.

Kevin Poulin, who’d been stuck without a net in Syracuse, gets one in Stockton, traded to Calgary for future considerations. Reunited, in the organization at least, with Kent Simpson. So I guess I can take that “POULIN!” off my notes for the Nov. 29 game here. (Back to just “TAMBELLINI!”)

And some interesting ideas in Elliotte Friedman’s 30 Thoughts about ways to increase offense without throwing away hockey history by making the nets bigger. Edit: As usual, interesting responses from Justin Bourne.
