Do you wanna build a snowman? Hartford pregame

The Sound Tigers are trying tonight for their first eight-game winning streak in four years: The out-of-nowhere, turn-the-calendar-page streak to start 2012, beginning with Kevin Poulin’s three consecutive shutouts. This doesn’t seem so out-of-nowhere considering the way the season began, though coming after six losses in a row, it’d be a similar turnaround.

Carter Verhaeghe is out with that reported lower-body soreness, and it looks like Loic Leduc replaces Patrick Cullity after Cullity took three penalties Wednesday night in Hershey. Andrew Rowe moves up, and Sebastian Collberg appears to play his first game since Jan. 16.

Hartford starts Jeff Malcolm. The Wolf Pack appear to have the same 18 as last night against Wilkes-Barre but in entirely different combinations. (I’m also not positive I have Ryan Bourque in the right spot. Sorry. Edit: From Bob Crawford, looks like I do. Small victories.) One to scratch each way.

It’s Frozen night. Inside and outside. I’ve never seen the movie, but I know the basic story and have heard a couple of the songs, so no promises about what happens on the Twitter feed tonight.
