Game 76 of 79 or greater: Providence pregame

Eamon McAdam makes his pro debut, and a few changes on defense to go with one up front (which result in a couple of familiar or semi-familiar lines, except the one that moves Tanner Fritz to the middle; we’ve only seen a little of that) for the last game of the season. Still to be decided what comes next. The Utica and Portland results will help decide.

We did the what has to happen post last night (short version: A regulation loss, and it’s Toronto). Therein is Jason Chaimovitch’s tweet that spells it out in further detail.

One to scratch each way. All appearances were Gabrielle and Schempp.

This should be the box.

Scoreboard watching: Utica-Binghamton (Comets lead 2-1 late second; a win sends them to Albany), Portland-Springfield (a Pirates win leaves Bridgeport in fifth and crossing over), Wilkes-Barre – Hershey (the Pens need a Bridgeport win for a chance at second).

Bridgeport scratches (believed healthy unless noted): Whitney (right leg), Rowe (lower body), Vaive (upper body), Cullity, Mayfield, Finn, Johnston, looked like Schempp.

Stan Capp on the PA today. We spent some time going over the tough Providence names, like Cross, Cave and Griffith.
