Our Brian Lockhart has been all over the situation at the Ballpark, and after a story on the University of Bridgeport’s seeking alternate home sites, Howard Saffan confirmed it: The mayor’s office wants him and Live Nation to turn the stadium into an amphitheater. Details are still to come. So is the effect another concert venue will have on Saffan’s old stompin’ grounds next door.
