Springfield nonliveblog

As noted, we’re at Harbor Yard for Sacred Heart-Yale on this “fun” little snowy Saturday. (Route 8 was OK at least.) So our look at Springfield-Bridgeport will wait awhile.

If I’m guessing based on what we saw this week, swap Scott Eansor and John Stevens from last week’s lineup. Not positive which defenseman gets scratched or if Yanick Turcotte gets in for someone.

Edit, 6:10: From the team tweet (told Schempp will take warmup):

BRIDGEPORT
F: Bourque-Fritz-Bernier (A)
Dal Colle-Eansor-Gionta
St. Denis-Stevens-Bailey
Johnston-B.Holmstrom (C)-Turcotte
D: Toews-Burroughs
Wotherspoon-Aho
Helgeson (A)-Vande Sompel
G: Gibson
Gudlevskis

Turcotte’s AHL debut. Pro game 500 for the captain and 100 for Michael Dal Colle, Alan tweeted.

Keep up through Alan (Mixlr audio / AHL Live audio/pay-per-view) somehow. Follow Alan, the team, Springfield and Ryan Smith.

The box should be here (R: Kaval, Mayer / L: Harper, Cooke. With all the new guys we’ve seen and “first Bridgeport game for”s we’ve done recently, an officials list with that much experience behind it makes me fight myself not to do a “what year is this” joke).

Bridgeport is 6-0-1-0 in its past seven road games. The team-record road point streak is 12, 10-0-2 in 2003-04. Those are ties.

Kevin Czuczman got the call from Pittsburgh. First NHL stint since he joined the Islanders out of college.

Hat tip to Michelle: Dave Leggio is at it again.

More later, perhaps with occasional tweets.
