Mostly harmless*

Sneaking in an update here… You’ll get a lot of this in the paper tomorrow, but…
Paul Flache is back. It was an eye infection, the one that had been bugging him way back in training camp. It recurs. He’s available this weekend.
Vince Macri is still in limbo, trying to find himself another AHL team.
Everyone’s waiting out tomorrow, to see which way the Islanders go, to see who they finally do assign here at 3 p.m. It sounds like the four guys who are up will come back, but much can change in the next 23 hours. Note: Since I’m Captain Unclear lately… by “come back” I mean on paper, to make them eligible for the Clear Day roster. Of course, these moves today might change things up.

I’ll be traveling during the day, but I’ll try to update if I can.

BTW… Researching the weekly Ex File, I was going through Sodertalje SSK’s Web site and found this. It’s the team’s schedule and results, with little faces at the end of each line: a green smily for a win, a yellow neutral-mouthed face for a tie, and an angry red face for a loss. But notice Oct. 1. SSK lost 11-1 to Frolunda, and there’s nothing at the end of the line. Score must’ve made the little red guy blow a gasket or something. “If you guys don’t wanna show up, I won’t, either.” Something like that.

BTW2: If you’re not doing anything Friday, maybe go to Fairfield and see Tom Paxton, Richie Havens and Janis Ian. I haven’t seen Havens or Ian, but I don’t think Paxton will disappoint.

*-A description swiped out of a favorite book/video game, it’s the notation I use for a power play that keeps the puck in the offensive zone but doesn’t get scoring chances…

Saw Richie Havens last summer at McLevy Green. He was absolutely awesome and really got the crowd into his music! Definitely worth seeing!!

Mostly harmless? As long as you did not forget your towel.

I have a feeling Val might have a slight advantage in this blog’s upcoming game. Stay tuned…
