Please welcome old friends

I used to spend more time in Binghamton than I should admit. (My brother and I stayed in Johnson City for several days in 2002. Long story.)

I spent so much time in Binghamton, I know about three ways into the building and as many ways to the press meal. Heck, I know about three ways to get from the mall to the barn. I used to know which gas station would be cheapest. I learned a shortcut home, then learned to avoid it: too many deer.

Point is, they used to play Binghamton a little bit. Their beat writers were some of my closest friends, professionally. But now? Now it has been 524 days since the last time the Senators showed their faces here. It’s so long, Brandon Svendsen hadn’t even joined _them_ yet. Greg Mauldin was removed for such a short time that he could still walk down the hall and tease them like a teammate.

There are lots of advantages for Bridgeport to being in the Atlantic Division. It’s still taking some getting used to, though, two years later.

Bridgeport lines are back to the way they rolled last night for warmup; those changed at times during the night. Olson looks to be paired with Reese again, but Motherwell did take the skate, so one to scratch. (Edit: Gallant is the last scratch.) Martin starts. Looks like the same group for Binghamton as last night.
