Still nobody has signed Tyler Haskins? He showed major improvement over the season.
Joensuu – Moore – Smith
Moulson – Mauldin – Dibenedetto
Benty- Marcinko – Figren
Reich – Haley – Rechlicz
Extra F- Morency,Hennigar
Utah gets -Dale and Romano
Macdonald-Kohn
Katic -Flood
Wotton -Westgarth
Ex D- Gleed
Munroe
Koskinen
Hennigar just seemed very passive last season hopefully he steps it up this year or he will be a career ECHL`r
Marcinko will suprise many this year and may also be this teams best PK`r unless they resign Haskins
There’s absolutely no chance Koskinen will play in Utah. The Bridgeport team is first and foremost development for the New York Islanders. Making the playoffs for them is nice but comes second in line. The Islanders want Koskinen to be on the Island sooner rather than later. I believe he will see action in no less than 30 games. If anyone will end up in Utah it will be Lawson, if he’s even signed. The fact that he isn’t by now is not very promising. Koskinen IS signed to quite a significant contract, which has to show you something. As for Romano, he is signed to a 3 year deal.
I think Doug is pretty close but I’d expect different D pairings.
McDonald – Kohn
Wotton – Katic
Flood – Gleed
I’m thinkin Koskinen to Utah where he can get a lot of games in early in the season. He’s not gonna adjust to the smaller ice riding pine in BPT.
Forwards
Joensuu – Moore – Smith
Moulson – Mauldin – Sim
Bentivoglio – DiBenedetto – Figren
Reich – Haley – Rechlicz
Extras – Morency
ECHL – Hennigar, Marcinko, Dale, Romano (if signed)
Defense
MacDonald – Wotton
Katic – Gleed
Kohn – Flood
Extra – Westgarth
Goalie
Munroe
Lawson (if signed?)
Extra – Koskinen
Notes: Sim is not playing for the Islanders again; my guess is if he passes waivers (he did twice last year) he plays on the Sound Tigers. Like you, I’m not sure this is the final line-up, seems weak at centre and scoring overall. The goalie situation seems a little unclear. Do you think the Isles see Lawson as an AHL number one at this stage? I would think Munroe believes he’ll be the number one? How do you expect them to bring along Koskinen – maybe get him 20 games? Doesn’t seem enough to go around. This does not look like a playoff team; I would think the Isles are missing a lot of valuable experience for some of their kids by not having them involved in solid playoff runs in the AHL.
