Suspensions elsewhere, familiar reasons: Friday notes

Much love to the people of Paris. Jeez. Mundanely:

Mark Divver suggests circle the next Providence-Bridgeport game. Seth Griffith is out with a concussion* that he suffered on a hit from Scott Mayfield on Wednesday. Griffith went down along what’s, for me and the camera, the near-side boards, so not sure what happened on the way down. That’s what precipitated the fight, for which Dalton Smith got three games from the league for leaving the bench legally to start it. Seen this here a time or three. So it goes nowadays, I guess.

Ryan Pulock got an assist credited for his work on Bracken Kearns’ tying goal the other night. That first Ryan Strome assist from Saturday has finally been changed, too, to Mike Halmo.

Prescout. Bridgeport, coincidentally, is already in Hershey. Liveblog won’t happen, but I’ll try to toss up some links and get a postgame look, if possible.

Mike Cornell signed a PTO with Charlotte. And Alex Gallant, Brett’s younger brother, has a PTO with San Jose; could make his AHL debut in San Diego.

*-Injury disclosure! What a concept. Though it’s tough to hear after he came back to play the last two periods. Hope it’s a quick recovery.
