Graham in, Vaive out: Providence pregame

With Scott Mayfield up and Matt Carkner suspended, it’ll indeed be Jesse Graham jumping back in for the Sound Tigers, right into the spot where Mayfield would’ve been alongside Patrick Cullity. Is he going to be limited, I wondered? Or is he good to go? The response from Brent Thompson was along the lines of “hope so.”

Justin Vaive didn’t make the trip, so they basically have the 18 and 2 that are healthy and eligible. Christopher Gibson returns and starts.

The Bruins remain a bit banged up. Substantially more than their share of hand injuries this year. Their top-ranked power play (31.1 percent at home, is all) goes up against the Bridgeport penalty kill, three of whose top four defensemen are either in the Show or in the stands.

Keeping the initial on Austin Czarnik for the heck of it. Providence released his cousin Robbie from a PTO yesterday.
