Abandonment issues: Tuesday notes

Bridgeport practiced in Wilkes-Barre this afternoon. We’ll hopefully get out there tomorrow and catch up with them once more before they head northwest. (Considering history and the forecast, no guarantees on getting there and back. But we’ll do our best.) Alan tweeted a photo if you’ve got a better monitor and want to try to pick out the new line combinations. (Caution: the closer-up shots are almost certainly special-teams work, so the colors mean less.)

The big Tanner Fritz debut in about an hour. USA-Russia at the World Juniors in a little bit, too.

Change in Worcester, where defenseman Patrick McNally, who had 12 goals (and might have been the next guy up if Bridgeport needed someone), has bolted for Sweden. The Railers picked up ex-Shark Curt Gogol, Bill Ballou noted.

Belatedly, Canada, Victor Bartley and Kevin Poulin won the Spengler Cup.

Milwaukee tweeted this awesome video of Bobby Butler telling his dad at practice that he’d made the Olympic team. John Butler is a longtime hockey coach himself; coached Bobby in high school*.

And RIP, Art Dorrington.
