Two newsy bits from this (early) morning’s practice:
–Dustin Kohn won’t make the trip. More sore than injured, but see yesterday’s bit about not playing guys who aren’t at full strength.
–Partially relatedly, they plan to call Jon Gleed up from Utah. You may remember him from preseason: defensive defenseman, not a lot of offense (though he scored two goals in the exhibition games), a team-high plus-4 for the Grizzlies. Though you can’t pick them out in practice — aside from Kohn and Lawson, it was pretty much all hands on deck for the 8 a.m. start that got them on the bus earlier — apparently “we’ve got some bumps and bruises back there” on the blue line, Capuano said. “We’ll see who’s healthy and who’s not. We’ve only got two games.”
Gleed is Another Darned Ivy Leaguer, BTW.
