“A job on a farm. Farmin’.”

Mikko Koskinen’s first ECHL loss comes in Game 1 at Las Vegas; he gave up five goals in a little over half the game as the Wranglers scored four goals in a little over seven minutes in the second. Game 2 is Wednesday at Vegas. Utah has the last three (if necessary) at home.

Odessa advanced to the conference final. The Jackalopes will get the winner of Wednesday’s Game 7 between Laredo and Allen.

More proof that crazy stuff can happen at any time: Syracuse 3, Hershey 1. Then again, there’s the ol’ saw about how the race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, but… know how that one ends?

Milwaukee clinched a playoff berth; tip o’ the cap to Lane Lambert and Ben Guite. That leaves only three playoff spots left to be had, and they’re the ones we’ve been obsessing over (and will continue to obsess over): A4, E3 and E4. The league notes that Wilkes-Barre can clinch one of them with a win of any variety Wednesday night. (It would lock the Penguins into third place in the East Division… but not necessarily the E3 seed in the playoffs, depending on a potential crossover.) We’ll be around for a liveblog/updatey kind of thing, following that and, just in case, keeping an eye on Hartford’s game against Worcester.

And Danny Groulx is the AHL’s top defenseman.
