Morning reading/skate

Riding home last night, I was reminded that the AHL needs a good Latin motto. Happen to have thought of one a few years ago: “Quattuor Ludi in Quinque Noctibus.” Think I declined those correctly. If not, even just “Quattuor in Quinque” works. There ya go.

Then again, I think I got a little delusional around Morristown.

Skeleton crew at Harbor Yard this morning: trainers and equipment managers, obviously, plus the Black Aces, which included Mikko Koskinen. Said all is good. He’ll be a big piece of the notebook tomorrow. He had no light to shed on the call-up decision, either, so we’ll stick with Andy’s “Garth Snow Is Psychic” call from last night. Lawson is home and said to be doing well.

The Aces did some drills and finished with a little three-on-three. Victor Bartley said he’s feeling really good and hopes to be cleared as early as midweek.

Not a whole lot of others around, so no good dirt on who might play tonight for either side. They were smart and slept.
