Kohn signs (updated 2x) (and now recreated)

Note: This post was recreated after apparently being deleted by accident.

Such is the announcement.

Edit: Might as well get some of this up.

Rob Schremp also signed his QO, the Islanders announced, which means they’re done with their Group IIs, at least pending Moulson’s arbitration hearing.

With a big hat tip to Station Nation, it’s apparent that goalie Marc-Antoine Gelinas is at least going to be here for AHL camp. They note that Gelinas’ former team, Saint John (QMJHL), has him signed with Odessa, which his representation also says; though there’s a report that Bridgeport signed him, if they did, it might be for Odessa, like Juha Toivonen last year. Though if he is here, that means Bridgeport will have two of the Q’s top four goalies of 2009-10, according to Goalies’ World. This is probably the most work we’ve ever done on a training-camp invite in July. No, definitely: Gordie Dwyer broke in August.

And while Columbus apparently isn’t averse to keeping Rob Daum in Springfield, his old organization has a coach for Oklahoma City:

TEAM Old New
SYR* Ross Yates (4/12) Mark Holick (5/21)
HOU Kevin Constantine (4/15) Mike Yeo (6/16)
PEO Rick Wamsley (5/6) Jared Bednar (6/15)
ROC Benoit Groulx (5/31)
MTB Scott Arniel (6/8, CLB head coach) Claude Noel (6/21)
HAM Guy Boucher (6/10, TB head coach)
LOW/ALB John MacLean (6/17, NJ head coach)
BIN Don Nachbaur (6/22)
OKC Todd Nelson (7/15)

*-Syracuse’s new coach was hired by Anaheim. Springfield’s new coach will be hired by Columbus and will be added to the list if it isn’t Rob Daum. Jeff Daniels moves with the franchise from Albany to Charlotte.

Edit2: Steve Valiquette back to Russia, CSKA Moscow. And apparently (fun with Google Translate) the Red Army’s misinformation campaign is back in Cold War form, because the release as translated says he “in March 2004 did not become part of a large exchange between Oilers and New York Rangers.” Two-year deal.
