Wait, players can come _back_?

It seems like a long time since the Sound Tigers had seven defensemen out there. (It’s not that long. Just seems like it. Long month.) Mark Katic practiced with the team and appeared to get through it without ill effect. So that’s a start.

Josh Bailey is expected to practice tomorrow. Pat Bingham hoped they’d know by the end of practice whether Bailey would be good to go, or if they’d need to bring in a forward again.

Signed up and everything, Jeremy Colliton was still between Brandon Svendsen and Rhett Rakhshani. You’ll see reports that he’s on waivers; that’s because he signed the NHL contract, and the Islanders need to pass him through waivers to assign him to Bridgeport. And if you missed Whiskey Pete’s wonderfully cynical comment last night, read it now.

That Colliton line wore a dark-green practice jersey, part of a new set that includes a way-bright yellow and Columbia blue. The latter group scored at the end of a drill, which prompted its left winger, Micheal Haley, to chant a loud “Argentina!”

Meanwhile, New Canaan’s Max Pacioretty was named AHL Player of the Month.
