Eight and Oh Hellberg: Hartford pregame

Hartford’s goalie starts for the ninth time in a row, seeing has how the last eight have gone pretty well, all in all. Looks like the same lineup as Wednesday.

Bridgeport, meanwhile, goes with the same lineup as Wednesday, since that wasn’t so bad, either. Third game in a row for these forward lines. Second in a row for these defense pairs. J.F. Berube again.

One to scratch each way, though rushes and Wednesday indicate Jones and Curran.

BRIDGEPORT
F: Verhaeghe-Kearns (A)-Beck
Wright-Quine-Halmo (A)
Vaive-B.Holmstrom (C)-Florek
Rowe-Gomes-Markison
(Jones-scratch)
D: Czuczman-Mayfield

HARTFORD

D: Skjei-Bodie
Graves-Diaz
Summers-Andersson

G: Hellberg
Malcolm

R: McIsaac. L: K.Briganti, Colby.

This should be the box.

Bridgeport scratches (believed healthy unless noted): Milner, Carkner (lower body), Johnston (lower body), Whitney (right leg), Leduc, Collberg, looked like Jones.

I assume Hartford has alternate captains. Can’t pick them out on the red jerseys.

Because I’m a glutton for punishment and because I get a kick out of dumb things like this, I’ve got a chart ready of every possible power-play percentage for both teams up to five goals and 10 chances. The Sound Tigers come in last at 10.303 percent, and the Wolf Pack are close ahead at 10.390. See if Bridgeport can leapfrog its way out of the cellar for the first time in a while.
