Anything happen lately? Weekend (week(s)) notes

This was quite the fortnight to be off, lemme tell you. (Highly suggested: the new Museum of the American Revolution in Philly. Nice to hang out for a few days in the area, where I used to spend a lot more time when the Phantoms were around.)

In the meantime, stuff accumulated over the past couple of weeks (mostly the last one)… the Islanders announced that Shane Prince will miss four to six months. The Big Club also, as expected, assigned Linus Soderstrom to stay at home.

Congratulations to Dan D’Uva, radio voice of the Vegas Golden Knights.

Steve Valiquette Day!

Tip of cap to a couple of tough guys and from all accounts good guys, Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond and Eric Neilson. And eliteprospects notes that local boy Mike Pereira is now an admissions officer and coach at his alma mater, Avon Old Farms.

I miss all the fun.

My computer’s AC adapter died as vacation started, so from before the computer failure: Before acquiring every available ex-Providence Friar, Worcester signed Yale’s Frankie DiChiara.

Cool tribute to Bill Dineen.

And RIP, Bryan Murray, Dick Gregory, Frank Broyles, Gene Bennett and the legendary Jerry Lewis.
