Awesome newcomer: Accumulated notes

Had been waiting on possible player news to toss up a blog post, but it hasn’t happened (or at least hasn’t been confirmed), so how about a different kind of addition: Congrats to Sound Tigers trainer Dave Stickney and the whole family on theirs.

Some of those long-accumulating bits:

From the new subscription site The Athletic (new home of Justin Bourne, and for the love of all holy, click that link and watch the videos), 2010 Bridgeport camper Corey Syvret is among those featured in a look at former players working to become officials. Meanwhile, ex-Sound Tigers goalie Scott Munroe is a new assistant at Trinity College.

The Ontario Reign will bring Eisbaren Berlin in for an exhibition game during the Olympics in February. Pretty neat. Berlin and the Reign are both part of the AEG family, which makes the date.

The New York Red Bulls had some hockey-related fun with their rivals, NYCFC.

Wallingford’s Pat Mullane announced his retirement on Instagram.

And RIP, Jay Thomas, Jud Heathcote, Rollie Massimino, Graham Tuer (whose son Al played parts of four years in New Haven) and Bob McCaffrey.
