The Islanders called for Sebastian Aho early this afternoon, placing Johnny Boychuk on injured reserve.
Aho made a pretty smooth transition to the North American game. He has 20 points, became the first Bridgeport defenseman to score three in a game, shoots the puck.
The Isles say Boychuk is lower body, week-to-week. With Devon Toews nagged as well, it’s a ding to the depth that has held up so well so far for Bridgeport.
