RIP, Jim Johannson/easy scratches: Toronto pregame

(First of all, RIP, Jim Johannson, fixture at USA Hockey and GM of this year’s U.S. Olympic team. Twitter reaction from Matt Donovan, Kieffer Bellows, Rhett Rakhshani and Kyle Okposo, for starters.)

Precisely no mystery with the Bridgeport scratches today: Eamon McAdam, Mike Cornell and Jeff Kubiak were sent to Worcester this morning and are all playing today against Wheeling. Guessing the skaters at least return promptly; this was one of those advantages of having an ECHL affiliate nearby. McAdam, we’ll see, I guess; Christopher Gibson’s seamless return from Tuesday’s knockaround seems to have made it less essential to have a third goalie around.

Toronto pays its lone visit on an eight-game winning streak. Ex-Tiger Josh Winquist doesn’t appear to be dressed. Calvin Pickard led them out, but then Garret Sparks took the line rushes, but then Pickard got the next turn after that and Sparks took the end, but then Todd Crocker says it’s Sparks. Sundays at 5 are already weird; I don’t need this. Edit: It’s Sparks.
