Clock ticking: Providence pregame

Charlotte won last night, beat Binghamton, moved seven points ahead of Bridgeport, which has two games in hand now. The Checkers are playing right now. Bracken Kearns has a tip-in to help his old mates for the moment. Charlotte will likely have the tiebreaker. Time dwindles.

Scott Eansor is out — Tyler Lewington got two games for going after him Friday night — so Michael Dal Colle is back in. Otherwise, much like the other night in Hershey, including Kristers Gudlevskis getting the start.

Trent Frederic debuts this afternoon for the Bruins, nine points ahead of Bridgeport with 13 games left.

Edit: Parker Wotherspoon’s scratched, and Pat Cullity’s in. Mitch Vande Sompel starts with Kyle Burroughs.
