Well, I tossed on ESPN before I left and waited out the top of the eighth before getting my heart broken, so I had time to type these up. The Real Standings, converting all overtime games to ties, where wins and losses are regulation-time only, with the usual disclaimers about how teams will play game differently under different rules, you can’t predict baseball, That’s Hockey:

*-change from actual real standings
So these are some changes. Iowa jumps Rockford (the Wild won five overtime games; Rockford won 13). Stockton (4-6 beyond regulation) jumps in, knocking out Texas (14-14 beyond, including 11 OT wins). Some shuffling.
Then again, one more time, goal differential is destiny: Only in the mixed-up Pacific did the top four regulation-time goal-differential teams not make the (actual) playoffs. (Stockton and San Diego instead of Texas and San Jose.) And one more time, take Bridgeport’s goal differential, figure out the Pythagorean winning percentage, add back in the luck of their overtime record… and you get 80 points.
Destiny.
