RIP, Ray Emery

Former professional goalie Ray Emery has died in his native Hamilton at age 35.

Emery burst into the AHL along with the Binghamton Senators in 2002, playing 154 games for the B-Sens over the next three seasons, earning 76 wins, including 10 shutouts. Plus six assists. Plus 174 penalty minutes. He led the Sens to the 2003 Eastern Conference Final in 2003, beating Bridgeport in six games in the semifinals. He went on to nearly 300 NHL games.
