An interestingly attended optional today: four of Bridgeport’s six veterans were four of the 11 skaters (plus both goalies) on the ice. Skills day. Guys who needed the day off the ice, said Brent Thompson, took it.
Devon Toews skated. They’re still hopeful to have him for the weekend. Thompson doesn’t like to talk about John Stevens and Matt Lorito, who technically aren’t on his roster yet, but indications are they’re getting closer.
Football calls this afternoon. Lou Pintek probably won’t be at this practice, so whatever.
