The league has picked Michael Dal Colle and Sebastian Aho for the AHL All-Star Classic, coming up in Springfield, Jan. 27-28. Second nod for Aho, who was on recall last year, and first for Dal Colle.
Among those also chosen were former Sound Tigers Matt Donovan, representing Milwaukee, and Cory Conacher, with Syracuse. Colin McDonald is the Eastern Conference playing captain, as announced earlier.
Aho joins Rick DiPietro, Wade Dubielewicz and Ryan Pulock as Sound Tigers selected twice for all-star teams. Dubielewicz (2004, 2007) actually went twice. DiPietro (called up in 2003) only played once (2002). Pulock was injured in both 2015 and 2016 (the night before). Aho was up last year. We’ll see who makes it this year.
Status quo for the Sound Tigers as far as I know in Syracuse today. Connor Jones returns from his suspension tomorrow.

Another interesting note from Springfield, albeit a couple of blocks away: The Thunderbirds signed veteran forward Tomas Jurco to an AHL contract.
The U.S. junior team won its quarterfinal last night and plays Russia on Friday.
