Bridgeport vs. Hershey

Bridgeport finally clinched second place in the Atlantic Division, and though it took a few minutes to get everybody ready to announce it, there is a schedule:

Friday: Game 1 at Bridgeport
Saturday: Game 2 at Bridgeport
Tuesday, April 23: Game 3 at Hershey
Thursday, April 25: Game 4 at Hershey*
Saturday, April 27: Game 5 at Bridgeport*

Dodged Easter. Nice.

The Sound Tigers got a couple of goals from Mitch Vande Sompel, another Oliver Wahlstrom goal late, a nice one on the rush from Kieffer Bellows to Otto Koivula, a good night from Christopher Gibson (he’ll finish at 2.84 and .902, both season highs). They lost Ben Holmstrom early, though, on a hit from Patrick McGrath that was called a Rule-48, check-to-the-head match penalty. We’ll see how he is during the week. Bridgeport also was without Josh Ho-Sang, reported sick. They ran something like this, Jason reported, though the Holmstrom injury changed some things.

Hershey will be without Liam O’Brien for Game 1, suspended three games for a hit on Ryan Lindgren on Friday night.
