Fun while it lasted: C.Bourque to Germany

After the season, he said he was interested in coming back.

“I just talked with my agent after the season, kind of told him to look around and see what my options were,” Chris Bourque said Monday.

“Obviously coming back to Bridgeport was high on the list. As I told you before, I loved playing in that organization and for that coaching staff. I had a blast.”

But there was a deal in Munich that was too good to pass up. Bourque is off to the DEL.

“Lifestyle-wise, for us, it was kind of a no-brainer to go,” Bourque said.

So that’s Bridgeport’s leading scorer and one of its longtime forwards off to Europe, and the AHL season isn’t even over yet.
