HOME game: Binghamton at Bridgeport

  • Who, when, whatever: Sena (I swear I actually did that) Devils at Sound Tigers, Arena at Harbor Yard, Sunday, 5 p.m.
  • Watch: AHLTV pay-per-view
  • Listen: Mixlr audio
  • Twitters: Alan / the Sound Tigers / the Devils / Rob Lippolis / ehh me too why not
  • Box score: Yep (R: Tapper, Sullivan; L: Fournier, Dapuzzo)
  • Game notes: Sounds like a good game and a good crowd last night, though the Pack scored two power-play goals and added an empty-netter to counter just a Nick Schilkey goal for the home team. Jared Coreau was having a good one until just after the goal, when he struggled to get up from the butterfly and, at the next stoppage, came out of the game. Linus Soderstrom backs up for the second time in the AHL; he was behind Coreau on Oct. 22 against Providence. Looks like his first time dressing since Nov. 13 in Worcester. Lineup otherwise similar, with Kyle Burroughs back in for Thomas Hickey, presumably just avoiding the three-in-three. David Quenneville back in town for the Devils.
  • Meh, what else is going on: Interesting transaction yesterday. Ben Thomson came back up from Worcester. Thomson’s hurt. Darryl Hunt suggests it’s possible the Railers just needed a roster spot. (The ECHL has roster limits, even including injured guys. The AHL does not.) Without Thomson and Linus Soderstrom, Worcester has 10 guys on assignment from the Islanders and Sound Tigers, and six are out today, including all five forwards. Bridgeport is still carrying just 12 healthy forwards. Down on the Island yesterday, they retired Butch Goring’s No. 91. Awesome that his mom was there for the ceremony.
  • A “what else is going on” without a high school reference? Oh, you wanna know what’s coming up the next three weeks? OK, clear your evening, here we go…
  • Bridgeport scratches, like it’s an old-school pregameblog or something: Coreau (lower), Hickey, Fritz (lower), Bernier (lower), Brown (lower), Thomson (lower).
  • If this were a regular blog post, what word or phrase would most likely follow “More” at this point: maybe Monday, probably later in the week
