The team has announced it plans to honor the captain on Sunday. Wotton goes into the weekend with 998 professional games played in North America, so Saturday’s home game should be Game 1,000. (Unfortunately, it’s not his actual 1,000th game, if you count the 50 he played for SKA St. Petersburg in the lockout year. We missed that milestone.)
