Thanks to those who voted, and perhaps more importantly, thanks to those whose votes clumped up and actually gave us winners.
They congealed just enough in the Fan Favorite to give it to Travis St. Denis, the Quinnipiac guy in his third year here. Veterans Steve Bernier and Seth Helgeson got a couple of votes apiece, and then a spread-out set of votes (including one to Oliver Wahlstrom, getting here just in time) filled it out. (Since he was part of the seven-way tie last year, I guess that makes St. Denis the first repeat winner since Micheal Haley.)
There were three fairly logical voting blocs for the Seventh Player Award, with both Jeff Kubiak and Chris Casto getting some support, but it went fairly decisively in the end to Otto Koivula, who went from adapting to holy-cro in a blink in November, and whose move to the middle turned this into a special rookie season.
Once more, the Three Stars Award comes down to the wire. We’ll figure it out and update the post after today’s game. Edit: By the margin of one third-star selection, Steve Bernier edges out Chris Bourque.
